Management Team and Coaching Staff

David is an experienced rugby selector, coach and player. An accredited national selector, he is a RFU Level 2 coach and a former player. With a background of working in education his driving passion is developing young players providing them with the opportunities to fulfil their potential.
He has previously coached and selected for East Midlands U16 and Midlands U16 (England Counties) development programmes. and has worked as a Coach Educator for the RFU, Schools of Rugby and Developing Pathway Programme Coach for Northampton Saints alongside coaching at club, District and County levels in Cambridgeshire.
He has selected for the Midlands Counties and England Counties U18s and is the current Chair of Selectors and specialist front row coach for the Midlands Counties U18s programme.

Norton is a highly experienced rugby professional with a diverse background as both a player and coach. A former player for Coventry RFC, Norton is a RFU Level 2 (L3 ERACA) coach. He has a passion for developing young talent, having coached at District and County levels in Warwickshire, coaching teams from U14s through to U18s.
Norton's has selected for the Midlands Counties and England Counties U18s, acted as Chair of Selection for the Midlands Counties U18s and recently transitioned to the role of Midlands Counties U18 Team Manager, where he will continue to work with the Midlands management and coaching teams to develop and deliver the Midlands Counties pathway in the region.

Steve Chisholm has made significant contributions to rugby coaching, particularly in the Midlands region. He has held various coaching roles, including positions with various rugby clubs and East Midlands Constitutional Body (EMRU), where he focused on developing young talent and promoting the sport. Steve is known for his emphasis on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, helping to shape the next generation of players. Steve has also spent time with Scottish Qualifed assisting in their Regional Development Programme.
Steve has been recognised for his ability to develop young players and help them transition into more competitive environments. His approach often emphasises building a strong team culture and encouraging players to take ownership of their development.
His coaching philosophy often revolves around creating a positive environment for athletes to learn and grow, both on and off the field. His impact at the grassroots level has been notable in fostering a love for rugby among developing players.

Marcus is a Level 3 RFU Coach and has experience of coaching and playing at National League level. A former professional player in the Premiership and Championship for Bedford, as well as a period in Pro Division 2 with Dijon, Marcus can draw on a broad experience of playing and coaching environments. He has also played semi-professionally for Moseley and Stourbridge, where he became player-coach before becoming Head coach, leading the club to third in National Division One. Marcus has previously been involved in coaching Stratford Rugby Club alongside his role as Headmaster of a local Prep School. He continues to support a number of current premiership players with specific skills development and mentoring.

Andrew started playing rugby at Towcester RFC from 8 years old. At 18 joined Northampton Saints playing for 4 seasons. 1990-1995.
He played representative rugby for East Midlands at under 18s, 21s, Seniors and Midlands Senior Men.
Andrew also played a season of rugby for representative side Whanganui in New Zealand.
Andrew started coaching at U8’s with Towcester right through to Colts club level.
More recently, Andrew has coached East Midlands and Saints Developing Player Programme. Before joining the selectors and coaches at England counties.

Beth specialises in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of muscle, bone and joint injuries.

She works with professional athletes and members of the general public, using up to date practices and techniques to treat injuries from sport, day-to-day activities, or just the aches and pains from everyday life.

Beth is a graduate Sports Therapist with over 10 years of experience within sport and private clinics, and currently works with Midlands Divisional Rugby, Warwickshire RFU, Stratford-upon-Avon RFC, alongside working in private practice in Market Harborough and Warwick.

Jason is an experienced RFU Level 2 (L3 ERACA) coach and level 2 referee. Jason started his playing career with Stratford- upon-Avon moving to Coventry at Colts and senior level before playing for Waterloo and Lancashire then Birmingham Solihull, before injury forced retirement. Jason earned international honours for Luxembourg in the mid 90s whilst on an industrial placement during his undergraduate course.
Jason coached at Stratford-upon-Avon RFC from U7 through to U18s together with supporting coaching at South Warwickshire, Warwickshire and Warwickshire School of Rugby. He has been a member of the selection team for the Midlands U18 group for the past three years.

Lee played representative football and cricket at youth level as well as being invited to trial for Sheffield United, some time during the last century!
Rugby honours came with Southwell RFC First XV before injury and children took their toll and forced his retirement.
Lee coached rugby at youth level with Newark RFC over a 10 year period before joining NLD as the Under 18s Manager. Following several successful campaigns, Lee was appointed as Head of Representative Rugby across NLD, with responsibility across the rugby spectrum for U16s, U17s, U18s, U20s and Seniors as well as Womens and Girls rugby.
Lee was appointed Midlands U18s Manager in 2020 and has now moved on to assist the development of the Divisional programme as Treasurer.
Lee's commitment to the Divisional role is encompassed by a shared goal of working with the rest of the Midlands Team to develop the Divisional programme. With the overarching goal of creating the best environment and providing the best individual experience possible for those elite players selected for the Midlands Squad.
